Former Australian Democrats MP Cheryl Kernot re sexism allegations over treatment of Australian  PM Julia Gillard: "The first thing I’d say is none of those other countries [Germany, US, New Zealand] has the “gotcha” media syndrome. We seem to have perfected that. American presidential campaigns have it, but the wider political discourse doesn’t have it as much as we do. We are the masters of it. The second thing I think we need to remark upon is that Angela Merkel, Julia Gillard and Helen Clark all have no children. That has been used against Julia Gillard. There have been occasional insinuations against Helen Clark [implying] her husband is a homosexual. I haven’t heard anything much about Angela Merkel. Hillary Clinton has one child, and both Clintons are power players."

Among social primates there is a phenomenon called allomothering whereby females including childless females care for the children of other females. This behaviour has been evolutionary selected for the survival of the group and so females can "practise" being mothers. This behaviour is well-known among Homo sapiens females but men do it too.

In contrast, the alpha male on succession to power may kill all the offspring of his defeated rival. This behaviour is notably exhibited by recent US presidents committing mass murder of infants in the post-1990 US Alliance War on Muslims in which violent deaths total 3.3 million, and non-violent avoidable deaths from war- and occupation-imposed deprivation total 9.0 million including 5.7 million under-5 year old infants (Google "Muslim Holocaust" and "Muslim Genocide").

Under-5 infant deaths in the post-1990 US Alliance Muslim Holocaust total 6.3 million, 90% avoidable (i.e. 5.7 million) and due to gross, war criminal US Alliance violation of Articles 55 and 56 of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War which demand that an Occupier (e.g. Apartheid Israel, the US, UK, NATO or Australia) must provide life-sustaining food and medical requisites to the conquered subjects "to the fullest extent of the means available to it" (see: http://www.infoplease.com/t/hist/protection-civilians/ar01s03s03.html ).

The extent of this mass paedocidal US Alliance criminality can be gauged not just from the appalling reality that avoidable under-5 infant deaths since 1990 in US Alliance-occupied countries are numerically similar to the number of people killed in the WW2 Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million, 1 in 6 dying from deprivation) but also from the murderously low annual per capita total health expenditure permitted by the Occupiers: $69 (Occupied Afghanistan), $167 (Occupied Iraq), less than $13 (Occupied Somalia) ,as compared to $7,410 (the Occupier US) and with the Gaza Concentration Camp (abusively imprisoning 800,000 children) under blockade by genocidal, racist Zionist-run Apartheid Israel.

About 1,000 children die each day in the US Empire (Google "Hey, hey, USA, how many kids did you kill today?). It is estimated that 6 billion under-05 year old infants will die this century due to unaddressed man-made climate change (Google "Climate Genocide").

Back in 1996 when 0.5 million Iraqi infants had already died under sanctions, CBS female journalist Lesley Stahl famously asked Clinton's pro-Zionist UN ambassador Madeleine Albright "We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that's more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know,is price worth it?" to which she replied "I think this is a very hard choice, but the price--we think the price is worth it" (see: http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=1084 ).

But in anti-Arab anti-Semitic, PC racist, corporate-, US- and Zionist-beholden Murdochracy and Lobbyocracy Australia , no Australian Mainstream media journalist, male or female, has dared asked the same kind of compelling question of pro-war, pro-Zionist, pro-US imperialism, pro-coal, pro-gas PM Julia Gillard or of her male and female colleagues.
